Ramsey Fire Dept 2nd Annual Golf Invitational
MAY 09
- Get out the clubs, the Ramsey Fire Department is sponsoring the 2nd annual RFD Golf Invitational. It will be held on July 21, 2012 at Loch Mor Golf Club in the Catskills. The cost is only $125 per golfer and that includes a full day of meals, golf and beverages as well as transportaion from Ramsey to the course and back. Ramsey firefighters practice drafting from lake

In anticipation of a potential drought this summer, the department may not be able to rely on the towns water system in the event of a fire. New Utlity Truck Makes Progress
FEBRUARY 05
- The new Utlity Truck (451) has been painted and is now in the process of the mounting of the necessary equipment. The FD expects delivery sometime later this month. A final inspection is planned before delivery so RFD members can go over the truck to ensure all is done properly. Once delivered, FD members will letter it and place and mount equipment for service. - Members of the RFD went to Odessey Specialty Vehicles in Wharton, N.J. on Friday afternoon to inspect the new utility truck that was ordered earlier this year. The truck is built on a 2012 Ford F-550 FWD 4-door chassis. - At the November Borough Council meeting, Ramsey Firefighter Kerry Conklin was awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" award from the Mayor & Council. Kerry joined the FD several years ago and has been very active with the Public Education team, who works many hours bringing Fire Prevention and safety education to groups of people of all ages during the year. Ramsey Firefighter in Tunnel to Towers Run

- Ramsey Firefighter James Warnet participated in the "Tunnel to Towers" run in New York City on Sunday Sept 25th The run is in Honor of FDNY firefighter Steven Siller who made the run from Brooklyn to the World Trade Center on 9/11 on foot in full turnout gear. Mutual Aid to Allendale Garage Fire
JULY 25
- At 2:00 A.M. on Monday 7/25 the Ramsey Fire Dept was called to Allendale for a fully involved garage fire on Franklin Turnpike. Tower Ladder 441 with Lt Jon Krehel (OIC) responded with Chief Jim Dougherty (430), Deputy Chief Randy Sterbinsky (450) and Captain Lou Warnet (460).
