Gas Leak Forces Evacuation of Pre-School Center
FEBRUARY 08
- Shortly after 9am this morning an alarm was received by the Ramsey Police of an odor of gas in and around a day care center on Franklin Turnpike. Ramsey FD was immediately dispatched. Arriving Police under the direction of Sgt. - As the first month of the new year of a new decade comes to a close, the Ramsey Fire Department has already responded to it's share of calls. The year started with a call from the Wyckoff Fire Department on January 2nd with a request for the F.A.S.T unit. 2010 Officers Sworn In
JANUARY 11
- On Saturday Jan 9, Ramsey Fire Department and the Ramsey Rescue Squad had their 2010 officers sworn in by the Mayor and Full Council. Both Chief James Dougherty and Chief Chris Hoffman of the Rescue Squad were in attendance to take the helm of their respective departments. - On Wednesday evening Jan 6, 2009, Patrolman Joe Kerr of the Fruitland, MD Police Dept was involved in a head-on collision on Rte 13 in his town. Joe is a former Deputy Fire Chief here in Ramsey and moved to Maryland several years ago to pursue employment there. Children's Christmas Party

- On Sunday, December 13, 2009, the Ladies Auxiliary hosted a children's Christmas party at Lifeplex in Monsey, NY. Belated Home for the Holidays Big Hit with Residents
