Ramsey FD Assists Mahwah FD at Condo Fire

On Tuesday afternoon, February 2nd, the Mahwah Fire Dept was dispatched to 980 Juniper way for a fire in a townhouse complex. Fire Chief Tom Loreto (130) arrived on scene and was met with a well involved fire on the third floor. Ramsey Assists Upper Saddle River at Early Morning Structure Fire

The Upper Saddle River FD received a call of a basement fire at 25 Holly Drive early Friday Morning. USR FD arrived and found heavy smoke on the interior of a large wood frame. USR Command (1230) immediately called for mutual aid, bringing Saddle River and Ramsey to the scene. The smoke condition inside required multiple search teams to find the seat of the fire. Ramsey FD provides assistance in massive Edgewater Fire

On Wednesday evening, January 21, 2015, the Ramsey FD was called to assist the Edgewater FD at a massive fire in a 400 unit townhouse complex, (The Avalon). Tower 442 under the direction of Deputy Chief Jon Krehel (450) and Captain George Fosdick (460) responded first to stand by at Cliffside Park Fire HQ. Wetdown a Success

Thank you to all who attended the Wetdown for the 2 new Pierce Engines and Squad 451. The event was a huge success and the weather could not have been better. Close to 1,000 people including residents and FD's from nearly 20 towns attended.

Ramsey FD Juniors take home Trophy

The Ramsey FD Junior Fire Brigade took part in the Mutual Aid Field Day held in Ridgewood on May 18th. They competed with 9 Departments in 3 different events, which included a firefighters challenge event which required firefighters to perform different tasks and then tagging the next member as if in a relay. Training on the New Engines

Ramsey FD members recently took advantage of some warmer weather recently and began the training process on the new engines. Each driver was familiarized with the operation of the pump and other components of the trucks. The two new Pierce engines arrived in Ramsey on 12/13 and are now in the process of being put in service. The members of the Fire Department would like to thank the Town Council for their hard work and support during the process of purchasing these new trucks. Welcoming Home a Brother

On a beautiful fall day on September 30, 2013, Main Street in Ramsey was crowded with residents, family and members of Emergency Services from all around the area to welcome home fallen Staff Sgt. Ramsey FD Helps Brothers at Waldwick Fire

Waldwick FD responded to a working house fire at 50 West Prospect Street at approximately 1:30 A.M. on Monday morning Upon arrival, Waldwick Chief Ken Warr called for a second alarm assignment.
