Subject: Train / truck collision on Main Street
Hi, I saw the pictures of the collision on your web site by FF Madson. My name is Anthony Falzo and I was the conductor on that freight train. I am an Ex-Chief with Wayne Fire Co. #4 and also the same person who saved the Pritchard children in 1989. I was wondering if you can foward any pictures you took at the scene. These are just for my own personal use. That is me in the locomotive 5614. You guy's and your PD were again excellent in your response. This could have been a disaster. You should have seen the people at the cafe's outside tables scatter. If there is anything I can do for you also please ask. My contact info. is below. Thank you, Anthony G. Falzo

Loved looking through the site. Brought back a lot of great memories. Most of the best times that I had in the fire service were with RFD. Congratulations Jim on becoming Chief. We go back a long way. I'm sure you'll do a great job. Say hi to George and the other guys for me. If you ever come south, look me up.
Stay safe.

Please know that our Command flag flies at half-mast in honor of Ranger Jankiewicz. We have lost a great American and an outstanding Ranger. Ramsey has lost one of its most precious sons. Know without doubt that Ranger Jankiewicz's sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Corporal Michael D. Jankiewicz Killed in action on April 9, 2010 Operation Enduring Freedom Corporal Michael D. Jankiewicz was a machine gun team leader assigned to Company A, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was born on Jan. 23, 1987 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Cpl. Jankiewicz was killed during a combat operation in Zabul Province, Afghanistan April 9, 2010 when the CV-22 Osprey aircraft in which he was riding crashed. He was rapidly pulled from the wreckage and treated by unit medical personal, but succumbed quickly to the injuries he had sustained. Cpl. Jankiewicz was on his fourth deployment in support of the War on Terror with one previous deployment to Afghanistan and two to Iraq. After graduating from Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro, New Jersey, Cpl. Jankiewicz enlisted in the U.S. Army in July 2006 in Philadelphia. He completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia as an Infantryman. Then after graduating from the Basic Airborne Course, he was assigned to the Ranger Indoctrination Program also at Fort Benning. Following graduation from the Ranger Indoctrination Program, Cpl. Jankiewicz was assigned to Company A, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in May 2007 where he served as a Grenadier, Machine Gunner, and Machine Gun Team Leader. His military education includes the Basic Airborne Course, Ranger Indoctrination Program, and the U.S. Army Ranger Course. His awards and decorations include the Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Parachutist Badge. He has also been awarded the Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal. Cpl. Jankiewicz is survived by his father Anthony Jankiewicz of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and Serena Jankiewicz of Ramsey, New Jersey. As a Ranger, Cpl. Michael D. Jankiewicz selflessly lived his life for others while he distinguished himself as a member of the Army's premier light-infantry unit, which remains continuously deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism. In every instance he fought valiantly as he served his fellow Rangers and our great Nation. - RANGERS LEAD THE WAY! -

Great website. I bought an old truck that belonged to your department and found the article in your minutes when you purchased it. It is a 1939 Diamond T it was a ladder truck . Somebody removed the rear portion and shorten the wheel base.Still just cab and chassis with 4500 miles on it thanks for not wearing it out. I would love to see pictures of it in its day.
nice site. please feel free to check out www.Bergenfires.com for all your Bergen county fire action

Thank you all so much for your service to our community. Your efforts are truly appreciated.
P.S. I am happy to see the number of responses decreasing - 11% decrease in the past 2 years! (that's if the number remains the same by the end of the year) ;) Be safe and, as always you are always in our thoughts as you take on these dangerous assignments.
Here's to a happy and healthy new year for all of us!
Hey guys... don't remember the names of the guys I was talking to on the lawn at the USR job, but here's my website: www.saracenophotography.exposuremanager.com
Please bear with me while I try and get them up on the site... I have a busy next few days but they'll hopefully be up by Sunday (probably sooner).
Thanks again and be safe! Chris Saraceno Saraceno Photography Metro Fire Radio 465

Hello Brothers, Grew up in Ramsey but started my firefighting in Vermont, then New Hampshire. My Dad worked with Bob Lichult and got to see him driving the tower on Memorial day in 1990. Also knew Mr. Fisher and a couple of the guys who joined from my RHS '70 class. I plan to stop by during the 40th reunion.

To all the brothers and sisters of the Ramsey Fire Department and especially the Warnett Family, My brother Denis told me to visit your site in order to see the pictures from your most recent fires. As usual, RFD is busy. It was great to see guys like Mike and Jimmy Dougherty at the helm of such a great organization. My best to all of you and trust that those of us downrange are in fact doing God's work. Stay safe. To the Warnett Family, I'm very proud of your son. To see him in his Marine uniform just brings great pride. Lou, I'm honored to see him in his uniform. My best to you and the family. Kevin sends.

I am down in Bradenton visiting my Uncle Bob Litchult. We spent a wonderful evening with him last night talking all about the wonderful memories of the the RFD. Edward Markley was also my grandfather. I feel blessed to have Uncle Bob in my life as I know you were blessed to have him a part of the RFD. I took pictures of this wonderful man and when I get home tomorrow I will send them to you. Do you have a specific e-mail you would like me to send it to? Keep up the great work! You guys will always be a part of my life even though I live afar!
Brothers, Do you still have the Hand/Horse Drawn Gleason & Bailey Combination Ladder Truck you bought from Short Hills in the early 1900's? If you do, please send a photo and point of contact.
