Fireman of the Year Honored
By Fire Fighter Mark Madsen
June 14, 2011
On Friday June 10 the Reverend Patrick Pindar Council of the Knights of Columbus honored Ramsey Emergency Services at their Annual Ceremony. The Ramsey Fire Department honoree was Lieutenant John Krehel. John is a third generation Emergency Services servant who is currently employed by the Paterson, NJ Fire Department as a Firefighter/Rescue Technician on Paterson Rescue 2, and a per diem Emergency Medical Technician with the Upper Saddle River Ambulance Corps. John is also a past Chief with the Ramsey Rescue Squad. John follows in his father's (George) footsteps as a retired Paterson Fire Captain, and his grandfather a retired Ramsey Police Sergeant. John was honored for not only his knowledge and willingness to serve, but his easygoing nature and approachability. Congratulations John!
