Mutual Aid to Allendale Garage Fire

At 2:00 A.M. on Monday 7/25 the Ramsey Fire Dept was called to Allendale for a fully involved garage fire on Franklin Turnpike. Tower Ladder 441 with Lt Jon Krehel (OIC) responded with Chief Jim Dougherty (430), Deputy Chief Randy Sterbinsky (450) and Captain Lou Warnet (460). Tower 441 was directed into the driveway and instructed to go to work with a master stream and then assist in extensive overhaul. The garage was a 2 story wood frame with an open space on the second floor and a oversize single bay where a vehicle was parked. The garage and vehicle were a total loss. Allendale FD were also assisted by Waldwick, Wyckoff and Mahwah FAST. There were no reported injuries and all units were clear by 5:30 A.M.
