It is with deep regret that the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department announces the death of Timothy R. McGill, 30, who was killed in Afghanistan while bravely serving our Country. Tim, a five year member of our department, was killed on Saturday September 21, 2013 when an Afghan, wearing a security forces uniform, turned his weapon on Tim and two other American service members. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim's family, longtime Ramsey residents, and the families of the other services members killed on Saturday. A funeral service for Tim will be held in Ramsey and those details will be released as soon as they become available. God Bless our Troops and the United States of America.
