Ramsey FD Helps Brothers at Waldwick Fire

Waldwick FD responded to a working house fire at 50 West Prospect Street at approximately 1:30 A.M. on Monday morning Upon arrival, Waldwick Chief Ken Warr called for a second alarm assignment. Fire was on the second floor of a 2-1/2 story wood frame with extension into the attic. On the second alarm, Ramsey FAST was called along with units from Wyckoff, Ho Ho Kus, Saddle River and Allendale. Ramsey FAST was assigned to the "B" side of the structure after laddering the structure on all sides. Tower 442's bucket was raised to the attic area on the "A" side. After knock down, Ramsey personnel were re-assigned to assist in overhaul. The fire was brought under control in about 2 hours. One resident was burned and suffered smoke inhalation and was rushed to the hospital. His condition is unknown. Ramsey units cleared the scene by 4:30 A.M.
