Training on the New Engines
By 450 Louis Warnet Jr.
February 2, 2014
Ramsey FD members recently took advantage of some warmer weather recently and began the training process on the new engines. Each driver was familiarized with the operation of the pump and other components of the trucks. A special drill was arranged on a warm Monday night to allow all members of the department an opportunity to see the engines in operation. Many hours have been spent on locating and mounting equipment, radio installation and more training. As of this writing, Engine 433 has been placed in service as of February 1, 2014 and it answered it's first alarm the next morning for an electrical fire on Hilltop Road in an office building. Engine 432 will be placed in service by weeks end after some last minute tool mounting.
