Farewell Lt. Shoemaker

On Saturday evening October 24 we bid farewell and godspeed to Lieutenant Bob Shoemaker and girlfriend Carrie, who after over 20 years of service to the Ramsey Fire Department and the citizens of Ramsey will be leaving to start a new career as a Rescue Technician with the Garner, North Carolina EMS and Rescue Service. Bob was an ideal candidate for this job given his diverse experiences here in Ramsey in Both Ramsey Fire and Ramsey Rescue. In addition to the gathering of Bob's many friends, he was presented with a plaque of appreciation from his brothers here in Ramsey. Bob joins Ex-Chief George Sutherland already 2 years in Garner along with former Ramsey Firefighter Bill Fredricks, now chief of Garner EMS and Rescue.
