"Bail Out" Training   By 440 James Dougherty November 16, 2009   In the early hours of Sunday morning November 15, eight members of the Ramsey Fire Department attended a train the trainer on a new device for "Bail outs" . What is a "Bail out"? This is when the fire conditions in a room get to a point that it is impossible for a Firefighter to survive and the Firefighter is either unable to find the way out or the way out is inaccessible for one reason or another forcing the fire fighter to "Bail out". If this is from a floor above grade then this "Bail Out" device is deployed. This situation was brought to light by a day now Known as "Black Sunday" in the City of New York. For more information search the web for FDNY Black Sunday. As a result of this day Firefighters around the country are looking to make their jobs safer and this is one result. This class will enable our trained Members to teach our own on how this device is to be used.
