Christmas Day Chimney Fire

Late morning Christmas Day Ramsey FD was dispatched to a home on Center St for a report of a chimney fire, arriving Police and Fire units found a chimney structure well involved on arrival. Chief Scalione immediately transmitted the working fire and simultaneous second alarm, bring a response from Allendale and Mahwah to the scene. Fire attack was aggressive and effective and the fire was quickly knocked down. Through quick action by the crew of Engine 432 and follow up by Truck 441, a Ramsey family still has their home, a true Christmas blessing. Please remember to have your chimney's inspected and cleaned!
