Pictures from 12-30 Fire   By Member rfd newsletter December 31, 2009   Shortly after 2am on the morning of December 30 Ramsey FD was dispatched to a house fire on Grove St near Allison Way. Two 911 calls and arriving PD confirmed the working fire, and a second alarm was dispatched by Chief Scalione immediately. Upon the arrival of the FD, heavy fire was blowing thru the roof. An aggressive effort was made to search for a missing family member and a push was made to cut off the fire from advancing into the house. Despite these efforts a fatality was sustained by one of the occupants. Because of this fatality, the Bergen County Prosecutors Office (BCPO) was called in to investigate the cause and orgin of the fire which has been ruled accidental/electrical in nature. Ramsey Firefighters are saddened by the loss of this life cut short too soon and we extend our heartfelt condolences to this family on the loss of their family member and their home.
