2010 Officers Sworn In   By Fire Fighter Mark Madsen January 11, 2010   On Saturday Jan 9, Ramsey Fire Department and the Ramsey Rescue Squad had their 2010 officers sworn in by the Mayor and Full Council. Both Chief James Dougherty and Chief Chris Hoffman of the Rescue Squad were in attendance to take the helm of their respective departments. A light reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Mechanic St.. Newcomer to the ranks is Lt. John Krehel, just now the past Chief of the Ramsey Rescue Squad, and a paid firefighter with the Paterson NJ FD. In addition to the more than 100 friends and family in attendance, Chief Dougherty had his parents come up from South Jersey to witness their oldest son take the wheel as RFD Chief. Jim's mom Jane is a past Ramsey Ambulance Corps Captain and the leadership has now been passed to the next generation.
