Chimney Fire Quickly Doused

Last evening around 8:30, the RFD was dispatched to a reported Chimney fire on North Central Ave. Deputy Chief Chris Warnet arrived on scene first and observed a working fire on the outside of the home traveling up the side of the wooden chimney structure. Training opportunity

Last Monday evening and this afternoon, the RFD has been familiarizing themselves with a new 55 and older facility in Upper Saddle River. The structure is a prefab designed wood frame and truss roof construction fully sprinkled. Each apartment has its own kitchen with individual heating and cooling units. Local Business builds a new podium

Larry Hitlin owner of L J H Kustom Kitchens Corp was gracious enough to build a new podium for our meeting room. Larry’s business is in the former Ramsey firehouse he purchased from the Fire Dept. many years ago. He converted the firehouse and turned it into his business.
