Memorial Day

Today is a day, not for celebration, but a time to just think of all those who gave their lives, so we can freely display the American Flag anywhere, anytime. The flag stands for our freedom as a result of the men and women of the Military, who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The Ramsey Fire Department knows this all to well as we have lost one of our own in recent years during the conflict in Afghanistan.
Sergeant Timothy McGill was killed in the line of duty while performing his assignment. Tim was a big as life man standing 6' 5" with a heart bigger than him, always willing to step up. Tim was a member of the RFD and always stopped in when he was home. We miss him dearly as does his family, however we know he was doing what he loved to do, even though he was taken from us way too soon.

The RFD also takes this time to remember all who have gone on before us from the Borough of Ramsey and abroad and we pledge never to forget and will always support our Military. On this day we salute you and say Thank You for your serviceā€¦.

Enjoy this weekend, but just take a moment to remember. God Bless this great Nation.....
