| Tower 441 was a 1983 75' Mack Aerialscope and the old apparatus was retired in 2018 to make way for the new Tower 441, which is a 2018 Rosenbauer 88' mid-mount tower. While the concept of the operation stays the same, technology certainly has evolved, with features such as auto leveling just one of the safety enhancements. These pieces are typically in service with the fire department for 20-30 years, in this case 36, so, while we focus on the needs of the community at the time of purchase, we also have to consider where things are going for the next few decades. |
