Last night RFD members along with Rescue took part in a demonstration on a piece of equipment used for the removal of downed firefighters. Representatives from FAST Rescue solutions from Pa. brought 2 FAST Boards and provided some insight on how this equipment can assist firefighters in quickly removing an injured firefighter to safety. Members were instructed in how to secure a firefighter to the board and remove them. Each member had a chance to secure a member to the board and prepare an escape.
