This past Monday night, the RFD conducted RIT training at the Hawthorne FD training center. 3 evolutions were conducted using the FAST boards to remove downed firefighters. The training center provided realistic rooms with furniture for the best effect. Firefighters utilized the facepiece protectors that also create a smoky environment making visibility difficult.
