Drill at Glatt Air

On Monday evening, the Ramsey Fire Department conducted a walk-through drill at Glatt Air Corp. These walk-through drills help the Fire Department Members and Officers familiarize themselves with the building, its operation and the contents of the building in the event of an emergency. Glatt Air opened their doors to the Fire Department as well as the Police Department for the same reasons.

The emergency services are constantly training for the worst in the event of an emergency. If you would like to open the doors of your business, or you have an interesting subject to speak about for a drill, please contact us. We would greatly appreciate it.

The Fire Department meets every Monday night. The first Monday of the month is a meeting night, where we conduct our Department Administrative business. The second Monday of the month is when we conduct our maintenance and cleaning of the buildings and the equipment. The third and the fourth Mondays (and if we have a fifth Monday in the month), is when we "drill" -- whether it is a hands-on drill in town at a sight or at an acquired structure, or at the Bergen County Fire Academy or the Rockland County Fire Academy, or a lecture at our Fire House, we are always on the go, doing something. If you are interested in joining, stop down at Ramsey Fire Headquarters any Monday night, look around and pick up an application.

Thank you Glatt Air for opening your doors to us.
