Basement fire extinguished

Today around 11:00 AM, the RFD was dispatched to 1 Dellwood ct. on a reported smoke condition coming from the basement. Department Chief Christopher Warnet arrived first and quickly discovered a fire in the basement. The working fire assignment was dispatched bringing an engine and FAST from Mahwah. First engine on scene (433) was ordered to stretch a line into the basement. Tower 441 was placed in front and ordered to get ready for ventilation . Engine 432 was ordered to establish a water supply.and assist the first engine. Tower 442 and engine 431 arrived for additional support. Ramsey PD, Rescue and EMS also assisted as needed.
The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to a small area of the basement. Heavy smoke was removed from the home along with some overhaul. The cause is under investigation and there were no injuries. Job well done on a warm humid day and always a big thanks to our Mutual Aid partners.
