On Saturday, May 13 around 7:00 AM, Ramsey Emergency Services were called to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment, with the vehicle into a building on Main Street near the intersection of Spruce street. Units arriving on scene found the driver of the vehicle injured and still in the driver seat, with the front of the vehicle inside the store. Personnel were able to extricate the driver and then was transported to the hospital. FD units stood by with a hoseline and assisted in securing the vehicle as building construction officials inspected the stability of the structure. The vehicle was removed and the front of the store was boarded up. An investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the accident. No other vehicles were involved, however the vehicle struck a tree and a light pole before striking the building.
